Disaster Response Story

Coca-Cola Foundation donates 29,400 PPEs to PDRF’s Project Kaagapay

As we face the COVID-19 global pandemic, we recognize the health workers who continue to go beyond their duties by serving in the front lines. We support our frontliners by providing personal protective equipment (PPEs) to hospitals in need.

Through the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation’s (PDRF) “Project Kaagapay”, Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines was able to provide 29,400 PPEs to six government hospitals in Luzon and Visayas.

PDRF worked closely with the Department of Health (DOH) to determine hospitals in need. In April, we were able to reach 8,500 frontliners from Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu, West Visayas State University Medical Center in Iloilo, Ospital ng Makati, East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City, Baguio General Hospital, and Manila Doctors Hospital.

PDRF is one of the constant Coca-Cola Foundation partners in disaster response, conducting successful relief operations for the victims of the recent Taal volcanic eruption and Mindanao earthquake in 2019.

This donation is under the Php150 Million commitment of Coca-Cola Philippines to fund COVID-19 Relief efforts supporting health workers, vulnerable communities, and small retailers nationwide.

Together, we can make a difference. #COVIDRelief #GoBeyondGood #KaagapayKontraCOVID
