Rise Against Hunger Philippines and Coca-Cola assist 1,703 families in Taguig and Laguna

Due to the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of Filipino families lost their source of income and ability to provide for their needs.

Rise Against Hunger Philippines and Coca-Cola Foundation partnered to assist 1,703 urban poor families by distributing more than 20,000 fortified meal packs to address their daily food needs. Each RAHP rice-soy meal pack is fortified with 24 micronutrients that is sufficient for one meal of a 6-person family.

Through this partnership, we were also able to distribute 10,104 bottles of 1L Minute Maid Orange Juice to families in Brgy. Ususan, Taguig and Calauan, Laguna. These fortified meal packs and orange juice helped address the daily nutrient needs of families affected by the lockdown.

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. Coca-Cola supports Rise Against Hunger’s initiative to uplift and support Filipinos in need.
